Norah Jones (born 1979) is an American singer, songwriter and pianist. The daughter of Indian sitarist Ravi Shankar and concert-producer Sue Jones, Norah is one of the most acclaimed contemporary jazz artists.

Jones has released several studio albums that have been well-received by critics and fans alike, selling over 50 million records worldwide. Fusing jazz with elements from other genres like pop, blues, folk and country, she has reached new audiences outside the circle of core jazz fans since the beginning of her career. Jones has worked as a movie actress as well, debuting in Wong Kar-Wai’s “My Blueberry Nights” (2007).
