Don Was and the Pan-Detroit Ensemble reimagine the music of the Grateful Dead on Live Dispatch Vol. 1, a vibrant collection of live performances, featuring “Help on the Way > Slipknot! > Franklin’s Tower,” “The Music Never Stopped,” “Crazy Fingers,” “King Solomon’s Marbles” and more. Fueled by Detroit soul, jazz-minded improvisation and the chemistry of the stage, the Ensemble brings a fresh perspective to the Dead’s endlessly exploratory songbook.
